Literature Text
These days I can barely stand myself
I can’t look myself in the eyes
A black gaze in the mirror
Staring back into me
A twisting figure
Doppleganger
Looking out
Reaching

with a grey hurricane,
we injected lies deep
within our skin and
embraced the disease that
killed us; we were
nothing but one of those
sad love poems lying

but I can never dig them out.
Early morning cups of sweet black tea bring
a sense of comfort and normality to being an
involuntary psychiatric patient locked up in solitary.
Sleepless nights lying with outward

lost at sea
I am floating away
no current to be found
aching for solid ground
the tide led me astray
I am floating away
gentle waves all around
swaying, sea foam- spellbound
in a sea glass bouquet
I am floating away
the coral bed background
a peaceful place to drown
dancing in the sea spray
I am floating away
