We stood at the edge
And looked upon the wide black
As it surged upward
The darkness grew without end
Threatening to swallow us
Every stretch of the
Earth and everyone on it
But we still stand here
Children of older spirits
Cast aside, abused we wait
Take our hands and know

Shadows are so much less than you
So I decided to do something for this bit of fun, I really like the last one and the short little story it told so I decided to add on to it a bit. For the record the italicized bits are the prompt from lyokowariorrenaryugu .
